In a somewhat low-key New Year’s celebration, Brian and Norm discuss the happenings over the past year and close out 2008 in style. Topics include; Beer brewing, christmas gifts, butt-sex for a kung-fu panda, ghetto Barack, and many more.
Below is the video we recorded while making this episode. Enjoy.
The premiss for a great show is set. With over 30 different breweries and a total of 75 different beers for the tasting, Brian and Norm attend the 2008 Pittsburgh Brufest to record the evening’s activities StromHuelsman style.
Tune in for interviews with the guest judges of the event from “Should I Drink That” along with a drink-by-drink recap of the three-hour chug-fest.
Special thanks to Sickpuppy and FatherSpoon from “Should I Drink That” for the tickets, and to the Pittsburgh Angels Rugby Team for an entertaining exclusive chat.
Another StromHuelsman thanks goes out to “Thee Adora” for the wonderful music that night along with the interview. Make sure and check out the band at www.theeadora.com.
This week in an interview with PodCast Star Magazine the StromHuelsman’s very own Clitstradomus revealed that she has been using a porn id card for years. While she openly shared this information with PC Star the full truth has yet to be revealed. She was quoted later this week by Our PodCasts Weekly,
“Why wouldn’t I use one. I never have to pay cover at the bar and I always drink for free. Just because someone puts up doesn’t mean I have to put out.”
The StromHuelsman Podcast is looking to the truth of these statements as no actual video footage has been recovered. We do have copies of the alleged porn id.
Brian and Norm are back with a special clip of their brainstorming session for this season’s episodes. Followed up by a segment where they talk about their summer away from the podcast.
PodCamp Pittsburgh 3 is on the horizon. Norm will be speaking at PodCamp as well as doiong several Canadian 649 shots. If you want to meet up with Norm and Brian at PodCamp click here to register.
We have a new YouTube video review, Bawls.
Check out the music we used this episode via Ioda:
Brian and Norm pull together the best of the worst for this second installment of outtakes.
This episode starts out with a sexy intro from DJ Lunchbox of the Wrestling Mayhem Show.
Followed by a series that never made it to the show, “Mike Talks Tech.”
We also include a few musical interludes that we created or recorded throughout the past year. The flute pieces were from Episode 11 - The Episode of Thoughtful Responsibility when we had Evan on the show. He played the flute and other instruments and we thought we’d share them now. The other musical interlude is something Brian put together.
And Finally we play some of the commercials and pieces we did for our April fools episode of the G Spod. Including the original ending to the episode that we did so G had a guide for how to finish the show. We included G’s remix of our theme song so all you fan boys get another chance to check it out. A full version of the theme song has been rumored to be in production…
PITTSBURGH, PA — Just as the second season of The StromHuelsman Podcast is finally coming to light, the dynamic drinking duo now has a new challenge to face.
Videotape evidence of Brian Strom has recently surfaced linking the somewhat reserved and quiet Co-Host of the show to a bedroom battle with two potentially under-aged and scantily clad vixens. While this doesn’t really pose a threat to the two adolescent females in the video, it could mean serious trouble for Strom.
“Come on, both of these young women read at a college-level,” explained Strom. “Age is just a number and so is IQ.”
While charges have yet to be filed, drama surrounding the show’s much anticipated second season has sky-rocketed with the release of the video on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, FOX and many high-traffic websites.
Whether or not the “show will go on” so to speak has yet to be determined. What is definite, however, is that Strom has some magnificent pec’s.
This month, Brian was selected to participate in Pittsburgh’s ‘08 NABA All-Star game. The game took place yesterday in a hidden field on Pittsburgh’s North Side. It was kind of like field of dreams except once they built it you need GPS and a Landrover to find the field.
I would have been at the whole game but an earlier Yinz Team game held me up. I arrived late in the 4th inning and was surprised to learn that Keystone is not allowed in the park. I cried foul and then took my place along the left field line to heckle Brian, who was playing left field. Brian didn’t see any action except for a homer his team gave up it the 5th (or 6th I don’t remember as I smuggled in one or twelve Keystones). I thought for sure he was going to rob that guy of a home-run until I realized the fence is 30 or so feet high. Shame on Brian for not scaling that wall.
Brian’s first at bat seemed like an excellent hit when he found the gap in right center. That is until he got greedy and tried for a triple. Well I’ll just quote the official report for actually what happened:
“Strom lead off the sixth after doubling past the now twice dawg-bitten Ducks outfielder Ben Gwin. However, Strom incorrectly decided he had wheels like the “Big Rig”, and was thrown out on a seven-hop strike to third as he tried to leg out a triple.
Strom later claimed the tag had missed him completely, but replays showed the umpire had the correct call. While Strom’s slide did avoid the initial tag, his trailing mullett was tagged by the third baseman, resulting in him being correctly called out.”
Anyway, congrats to all the NABA ‘08 All-Stars. For more info on Pittsburgh NABA click here.
